Traffic control will be in place from 7am to 5pm, Monday-Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. Night work for road resurfacing is scheduled to start in late May 2026 for about four weeks, weather permitting.
Oversize and overmass (OSOM) vehicles wider than 3.5 metres can only travel through the work zone during standard working hours from 7am to 5pm Monday-Friday, and up to 1pm on Saturdays.
Drivers should stop at the designated pull-over areas and contact traffic control on UHF Channel 25 or the mobile phone numbers 0448 257 296 or 0408 936 896 before driving through the work area.
Designated Pull-over areas:
Northbound - Parking area adjacent to the Deniliquin Oval, corner Ochtertyre and Hardinge streets
Southbound - Davidson Street Rest Area
Traffic control including a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place and partial lane closures will be in place. There are no detours in place for this project.
Operators or pilots are advised to pre-plan the route and contact the project team in advance to coordinate access through the site.

Unless specified otherwise, operators of Class 1,2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternate route. OSOM vehicles operating under the National Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Mass and/or Dimension Exemption Notices can use the available detours if they are suitable for their combination. Operators are reminded that under Schedule 8 of the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation (NSW), there is a requirement for the driver and operator to scope the proposed route prior to travel to ensure it is suitable for their vehicle.
Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
