NSW: Changed traffic conditions on the M4 Motorway between Holroyd and Greystanes

 There will be changed traffic conditions on the M4 Motorway between Holroyd and Greystanes. There will be intermittent full and partial closures of the westbound lanes between Church Street and Cumberland Highway from Sunday 15 March to Thursday 28 May, between 9pm and 5am, weather permitting. 

 

No work will take place on Friday nights, Saturday or public holidays.

During asphalting works between Coleman Street and Cumberland Highway detours will be in place including:

  • Motorists using the M4 Motorway westbound will be detoured via Coleman Street, Great Western Highway and Cumberland Highway to re-enter the M4 Motorway

  • Motorists using the Woodville Road westbound on-ramp to the M4 Motorway will be detoured via Church Street, Great Western Highway and Cumberland Highway to re-enter the M4 Motorway

  • Heavy vehicles travelling westbound on WestConnex will be detoured via James Ruse Drive, Parramatta Road, Church Street, Great Western Highway and Cumberland Highway to re-enter the M4 Motorway.

Specific road closure dates will be posted on Variable Message Signs at least five days before any traffic changes come into effect.

Oversize and Overmass operators should contact the project team on 1800 568 981 prior to travelling to discuss access arrangements through the work zone.

Heavy vehicle detour

Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off the approved route listed in their permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
