As part of Transport for NSW’s advises of Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Warringah Freeway.
The right turn from the Pacific Highway off ramp to High Street will be permanently removed from 8pm Friday 10 July 2026. The alternative route is to continue northbound on Arthur Street, turn right at Mount Street, turn right at Alfred Street North and turn left at High Street for access to Kirribilli and Neutral Bay.
All northbound lanes of the Warringah Freeway will be closed at the Pacific Highway from 11pm Monday 13 July to 5am Tuesday 14 July. Several ramps to and from the freeway will also be closed during this time, including:

Pacific Highway northbound access to Arthur Street

Berry Street northbound on ramp

Falcon Street northbound bus only off ramp

Falcon Street / Military Road northbound on and off ramps

Ernest St northbound off ramp

Miller Street northbound off ramp

Brook Street northbound off ramp

Willoughby Road northbound off ramp
All northbound motorists will need to use lanes 1 and 2 on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and must exit at the Pacific Hwy northbound. Motorists for Mosman/ Manly can turn right at Miller St and then right at Falcon Street. The Sydney Harbour Tunnel northbound will also be closed during this time.
All southbound lanes of the Warringah Freeway will be closed between the Lane Cove Tunnel to Mount Street, North Sydney on the following days;

From 10:30pm Tuesday 14 July to 5am Wednesday 15 July

Several ramps to and from the freeway will also be closed during this time, including:

Pacific Hwy southbound on ramp to the Gore Hill freeway southbound

Reserve Road southbound off ramp and southbound on ramp

Willoughby Road, Brook Street, Miller Street, Ernest Street Military Road, Alfred Street North southbound on ramps

Falcon Street southbound western and eastern on ramp

The Sydney Harbour Tunnel will also be closed southbound during this time.
For motorists heading east to Cammeray, Cremorne, Balgowlah, Mosman and Manly, detour via Pacific Highway and Falcon Street. For motorists heading southbound from Gore Hill Freeway / Warringah Freeway, detour via Pacific Highway southbound, Berry Street eastbound, Arthur Street and Mount Street.
Other traffic changes include:
Miller Street southbound on ramp will be continuously closed from 7pm Friday 10 July to 6pm Sunday 12 July 2026. Detour via Ernest Street southbound on ramp to access Sydney Harbour Tunnel. Or detour via Falcon Street southbound on ramp to access Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel.
Lane 4 from Sydney Harbour Bridge, opposite Milsons Point Station to the Warringah Freeway northbound will be continuously closed from 8pm Friday 10 July to 6pm Saturday 11 July 2026. Use lanes 2 or 3 on Sydney Harbour Bridge instead.
Operators of Class 1, 2 and 3 vehicles travelling under a notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternative route.
Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
