NSW: Reminder for all Interim OBM Systems to transition to Smart OBM Systems by 1 June 2025

Since 2022 transport operators, requiring mass monitoring for their operations, have been able to use Smart On-Board Mass (OBM) monitoring systems in NSW.
Vehicles enrolled in schemes requiring OBM reporting must transition to Smart OBM systems before 31 May 2025.
Affected vehicles must be enrolled and monitored under Smart OBM by 1 June 2025.

If your vehicle has a Smart OBM system, you may enrol the vehicle in a Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA) scheme for operation in NSW through your service provider.
Please note for travel in NSW vehicles are required to be enrolled in TMA or IAP with Transport for NSW, even if they are already enrolled in TMA or IAP in another jurisdiction. To enrol in a scheme that requires OBM please contact Transport Certification Australia or call 03 8601 4600.
