NSW: Temporary closure on Gwydir Highway at Jackadgery Bridge

There will be a temporary closure of Jackadgery Bridge on the Gwydir Highway from 11am Saturday 31 May to 12pm Sunday 1 June, weather permitting. 

Heavy vehicles are advised to plan their trip in advance to avoid these closure times.

There will be no suitable alternative routes for restricted access vehicles and general access vehicles are advised to delay their journeys or look at Live Traffic to find a suitable alternative detour. 

The bridge will reopen to heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes at 12pm Sunday 1 June, and will operate under single lane closures. 

Single lane closures will remain in place until ongoing bridge works are completed by June 20, weather permitting. Oversize Overmass (OSOM) operators wider than 3.5 metres must continue to contact the project team on 0400 368 500 at least 24 hours before reaching the site to discuss access options.
