NSW Traffic Alert: Gwydir Highway temporarily closed for Grafton to Inverell Cycle Classic

Changed traffic conditions will be in place on the Gwydir Highway between Grafton, Glen Innes and Inverell on Saturday 15 March for the annual Grafton to Inverell Cycle Classic.
Grafton to Glen Innes temporary road closures
The Gwydir Highway will be closed at the following times between Grafton and Glen Innes:
- Westbound (Grafton to Glen Innes) closed from 7am to 1.30pm: between Tindal Road (15 kilometres west of Grafton) and Bald Nob Road (25 kilometres east of Glen Innes).
- Eastbound (Glen Innes to Grafton) 5.15am to 1.30pm: The Gwydir Highway between Tindal Road and Bald Nob Road.
Glen Innes to Inverell traffic impacts
Cycle classic participants are expected to travel between Glen Innes and Inverell between 9.30am and 4pm along the Gwydir Highway to Dodds Lane (20 kilometres east of Inverell) and Elsmore Road through to Inverell.
Short delays may be experienced during this time.

Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
