NSW: Traffic changes on the Great Western Highway at Eastern Creek and Minchinbury

Changed overnight traffic conditions will be in place on the Great Western Highway at Eastern Creek and Minchinbury for essential road maintenance work.  

When

Work will be carried out for up to 22 night shifts between:

  • Tuesday 9 June and Thursday 6 August, weather permitting.

  • Work hours are Sunday to Thursday, 8pm to 5am. 

What to expect

Work will include motorway ramp and lane closures, contraflow, stop/slow, and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h.

As part of the work the M7 Motorway on and off ramp from the Great Western Highway for one night of work.

  • M7 Motorway southbound motorists will need to detour via the M4 Motorway and Reservoir Road to access Great Western Highway.
  • Great Western Highway northbound motorists will need to detour via Wallgrove Road to access the M7 northbound on ramp at Mini Link Road.

OSOM and vehicles traveling under a permit

Over Size and/or Over Mass and vehicles travelling under permit will need to avoid using the Great Western Highway northbound on-ramp to the M7 and the M7 Southbound off-ramp to Great Western Highway on Monday 29 June and Tuesday 30 June.
