Road Conditions North Coast: Bruce Highway northbound daytime lane closures
Source: Department of Transport and Main Roads, North Coast Region
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise of upcoming lane closures on the Bruce Highway, northbound, near Cooroy.
TMR’s contractor has been undertaking slope stabilisation works on a short section of the Bruce Highway since late May.
To facilitate these works, the northbound shoulder has been closed for the duration of the works, with occasional temporary lane closures at night.
One lane will be closed during the day between 5am and 3pm from Monday 26 August to Friday 6 September. The lane closure is necessary to facilitate shotcreting, which is one of the final activities necessary to stabilise the slope.
It is expected the works will conclude by the end of September, weather and construction conditions permitting. Occasional lane closures will be required at night, while crews demobilise the site.
TMR thanks motorists and the local community for their patience while these works have been undertaken.
