Road Conditions Update: NSW-Middle Dural and Maroota-Old Northern Road

Changed traffic conditions on Old Northern Road between Middle Dural and Maroota for heavy vehicles from Wednesday 17 April to Friday 28 June, Sunday to Thursday, 8pm to 5am, weather permitting. No work will occur on Friday or Saturday nights or public holidays.

Work locations include:

·         between Mid Dural Road and Edwards Road, Middle Dural

·         between Wylds Road and Munros Lane, Arcadia

·         between Schewebel Lane and Mount View Road, Glenorie

·         between Idlewild Road and Wisemans Ferry Road, Maroota

The below detour route will be in place for heavy vehicles:

Northbound traffic will need to detour via:

·         Pennant Street, Showground Road, Windsor Road, Pitt Town Road, Cattai Road and Wisemans Ferry Road

Southbound traffic will need to detour via:

·         Wisemans Ferry Road, Cattai Road, Pitt Town Road, Windsor Road, Showground Road and Pennant Street

*These detours exclude restricted access vehicles

Restricted access vehicles detour

The following restricted access heavy vehicles are not permitted to use Showground Road in the detours outlined above:

·         All heavy vehicles operating at HML (Higher Mass Limit)

·         All PBS (Performance Based Standards) vehicles operating under the National Class 2 Performance Based Standards (High Productivity) Authorisation Notice

·         PBS 2B vehicles operating under the National Class 2 Performance Based Standards Vehicle (Tier 1) Authorisation Notice.

The alternative detour for restricted access vehicles will be via:

·         Old Northern Road, Windsor Road, Briens Road, Old Windsor Road, Pitt Town Road, Bathurst Street, Eldon Street, Cattai Road and Wisemans Ferry Road to head northbound.

·         Wisemans Ferry Road, Cattai Road, Eldon Street, Bathurst Street, Pitt Town Road, Old Windsor Road, Briens Road, Windsor Road and Old Northern Road to head southbound.

Please allow an additional one hour travel time.
