Road Conditions Update-QLD-Mungindi-St George from 8/4/24

Carnarvon Highway (Mungindi - St George) - Widen and seal

TMR will be continuing works to widen and seal sections of the Carnarvon Highway (Mungindi - St George) from about 30km south of St George from Monday 8 April 2024, weather and conditions permitting.

The works will be carried out during daylight hours up to six days a week and are expected to be completed by early May 2024, weather and conditions permitting.

We will try to minimise traffic delays as much as possible by using single lane closures, traffic control and speed restrictions. Motorists should slow down, drive carefully and follow the instructions of traffic controllers and construction signage and allow up to an additional 15 minutes for their journey.

Works may restrict wide-load vehicle access and permit holders should check the TMR Conditions of Operation Database before travelling.
