SEQ: Logan Mwy pavement resurfacing works

The Logan Motorway pavement resurfacing works project, which commenced in late February and involves removing and replacing layers of pavement and line marking between Formation Street and the Centenary Motorway is progressing well.

The next section of work will require a closure of some ramps temporarily during May to September 2026.

When

In addition to current works from Sunday to Thursday, 8pm to 5am each night, there will be some ramp closures on Formation Street and Boundary Road/Skepper Street, during these times:

Boundary Road/Skepper Street eastbound on ramp to Logan Motorway

• 8pm Friday 8 May to 5am Monday 11 May
• Saturday 16, 23 and 30 May 2026, from 5am to 5pm each day
• Detour in place via Boundary Road, Progress Road and the Centenary Motorway.

Formation Street eastbound off ramp from Logan Motorway

• 8pm Friday 22 May to 5am Monday 25 May 2026
• 8pm Friday 3 July to 5am Monday 7 July 2026
• Detour in place via Logan Motorway eastbound, Staplyton Road interchange and Logan Motorway westbound to Boundary Road off ramp and Formation Street. Please note, this detour is via a toll point however motorists who follow this detour will not be charged a toll.

Logan Motorway eastbound off ramp from Ipswich Motorway

• Sunday 14 June to Thursday 18 June, 8pm to 5am each night
• Sunday 21 June to Thursday 25 June, 8pm to 5am each night
• Sunday 28 June to Thursday 2 July, 8pm to 5am each night
• Sunday 30 August to Thursday 3 September, 8pm to 5am each night
• Sunday 6 September to Thursday 10 September, 8pm to 5am each night
• Sunday 13 September to Thursday 17 September, 8pm to 5am each night
• Detour in place via Ipswich Motorway northbound, Progress Road off ramp, Boundary Road southbound, Boundary Road/Skepper Street on ramp to Logan Motorway eastbound.

What to expect 

• motorway closures with detour in place

• contraflow where lanes are reduced and traffic is moved from one side of the motorway to the other to allow works to take place
• ramp closures
• reduced speed limits and other road safety measures
• increased noise and lighting coming from the construction area
• workers, vehicles and equipment moving in, out and around the construction area.

If weather or construction conditions stop works, the works will continue on the next available day or night.
