SWQ: Changed traffic conditions Baffle Creek bridge - Carnarvon Highway (Injune - Rolleston)
Source: Department of Transport and Main Roads (06.05.2025)
Due to the rain events in March and April 2025, the sidetrack that was constructed around the Baffle Creek bridge upgrade site, has been damaged.
To enable the Department of Transport and Main Roads to continue the bridge construction works, changed traffic conditions were implemented on Monday 5 May 2025 and will remain in place until further notice.
Motorists are advised that the bridge will be under single lane closure, with traffic control in place. Please drive carefully and follow the instructions of traffic controllers and construction signage and allow up to an additional 15 minutes for your journey.
Works will restrict wide-load vehicle access and permit holders should check the TMR Conditions of Operation Database before travelling.
Effective immediately, all vehicle combinations with a ground contact width and/or loaded width greater than 3.0m are not permitted to travel through the site.
However, eligible vehicles can access the alternate route, via the Leichhardt Highway, provided a copy of the approved variation letter is used in conjunction with a current permit. Operators without a current permit are required to apply via the NHVR Portal for the alternative route.
