TMR advises of the temporary closure of the Burnett Traffic Bridge in Bundaberg to facilitate Ergon Energy work and perform routine maintenance.
When
The closure will take place on Sunday 15 February 2026 from 6am to 6pm.
The bridge will also be temporarily closed for night works on:
- Monday 16 February 2026, from 8pm to 5am
- Tuesday 17 February 2026, from 8pm to 5am
- Wednesday 18 February 2026, from 8pm to 5am
- Thursday 19 February 2026, from 9pm to 5am (to account for late-night trading)
Traffic conditions
On-road signage will be in place to assist with changed traffic conditions and to detour motorists to the Tallon Bridge.
Pedestrian access across the bridge will remain available at all times during the works.
Road users should allow additional time for their journey while the closure is in place.
